Lesley Ainsworth has been a partner at Lovells since 1988 and is head of the firm's London EU and competition group. In the mid-1980s she spent a number of years in Lovells' Brussels office. She advises on all aspects of EU and UK competition law and has extensive experience of representing clients under investigation by the EU and UK competition authorities.
She also advises on merger clearance and other competition aspects of acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures, including co-ordinating multi-jurisdictional clearance applications. In addition to day-to-day advisory work, she is frequently involved in handling dawn raids, and in the development of competition compliance programmes.
